工作忙有好多種表達方式

最簡單直接的表達是：I am very busy at work.

比較形象的表達是：We all have those days that pass like a whirlwind. 我們都忙得不可開交。

英語當中Snowed under常用來形容“忙得不可開交”。 I"m snowed under with work today. And I need some time to relax. 我今天一整天都很忙，我需要放鬆一下。

表示“工作忙碌”的英語

1. busy

✨釋義：having a lot to do; perhaps not free to do sth else because you are working on sth 忙碌的；無暇的

-I’ll be too busy to come to the meeting.

我會很忙，不能到會。

2. be on the go/ be on the move

✨釋義：to be very active and busy 非常忙碌

3.hectic

✨釋義：very busy; full of activity 忙碌的；繁忙的

-a hectic schedule 安排很滿的日程表

4. pushed

✨busy 忙碌

-I know you’re pushed, but can you make tomorrow’s meeting?

我知道你很忙，可是你能不能參加明天的會議？

5. be bound up in sth

✨釋義：be busy with sth; very interested or involved in sth 忙於某事；熱衷於某事

-He’s too bound up in his work to have much time for his children.

他工作時間太忙，沒有很多時間陪孩子。

忙碌busy，要表示工作忙碌，最短平快的英語表達可以說 I’m busy.

但很多時候，這不是一個最佳表達，因為它太模糊太籠統，因為“忙”只是一種狀態，沒有指代具體資訊，一方面有種“日理萬機”的傲慢感，另一方面又容易讓人聯想到“別煩我”，因此很讓人產生不快、覺得被拒絕。

下面我根據具體的場景，介紹一些更加具體的英語表達。

這個就很隨意啦，I’m very busy/stressed/slammed，如果關係更近點隨意吐吐槽的話，選擇就更多了，比如說life is crazy/overwhelming， I’m so snowed under with XXX.

和同事關於“忙碌”的正式對話，往往是要表達“我現在很忙，對你的請求愛莫能助”，也就是因為自己太忙無法向同事提供幫助。在這種情況下，重要的是說明自己手頭有很多工作，而不是以“忙碌”為託詞不幫忙。

這種情況下可以說, I’m (a bit) overloaded/occupied right now…

或者說

I’m sorry I can’t really help you out as I already have a lot on my plate

I have my hands full with XXX today…

I’m having a full-day (all-day) meeting today…

對領導/上級，之所以I’m busy不是一個好的表達，主要有兩個原因：一、太模糊，因為“忙”並沒有說明你到底在做什麼工作，是不是在做該做的、重要的事；二、忙不代表有效率，彙報工作應該強調工作進展，而不是讓人覺得自己在瞎忙。

工作很忙用英語表達有幾個很常見的短語：

（1）be busy with work. 這個應該是最普通最常見的一個表達了。

(2) be up to one"s ears in work

(3) be all tied up

其他的英語表達，可以根據語境靈活翻譯。比如“在這裡工作很忙，還要加班”這句話就可以翻譯成“Working here involves a busy schedule and overtime.” 並沒有拘泥於以上的短語表達。

我們平時做翻譯實踐的時候，除了需要掌握一些基本的短語表達之外，還需要根據語境和句子成分做靈活處理。有時忘了固定表達，可以採取解釋的翻譯方法，換一種方式來表達也不失為一種很好的選擇。關鍵是要吃透原文，同時也要顧及到目的語接受者的理解能力。
